Chicago was great (if not a tad smelly)–but the pizza makes up for it.
Wicked was amazing!!! It was such a good time. I’ll try posting
pictures when I get them.

I am excited and at the same time terrified about yearbook. The past
years have been a bit of a mess in many respects. The 2003-2004
yearbook was passed out only just this semester due to lack of
leadership and attention to deadlines two years ago and nearly the same
thing happened last year too (my first actual year on staff). Now here
we are trying to work out the details for the 2006 book and all I want
is for it to be good but it seems like in every direction there a
obstacles to overcome. It’s more of a good challenge than a real stress
to me though…if anything, it’s preparation for a future in
publishing. So that’s good.
I can’t think of anything else exciting to say…..if I did you would probably not read it anyway.
Ugh. I believe Latin may very well be the bane of my existence this
semester. I have no trouble getting geared up to read for English or
even write a paper, but when it comes to translating endless sections
of Seneca….gee…it’s just not something that makes me wanna jump up
and clap my hands. Nonetheless, I think if I can get past my own flaws
in matters of translation, I might begin to appreciate this class for
what it’s worth. The philosophy is truly interesting and I believe Dr.
Weaire to be a great professor . . . so wish me well in that one. 🙂
Sculpture today was kinda fun, too. Started out with some basic skull
drawing and I think we’ll be actually sculpting (or at least playing
with clay) by next Tuesday, if not Thursday. I like Frudakis . . . he’s
a bit more straight forward about commentary and that is a lot easier
to take for me. If it looks bad, don’t beat around the bush! Insightful
corrections are only going to make it better and realizing that makes
the suggestions of a good prof invaluable. On the other hand, if the
prof merely hints at something, it’s muchmuch harder to get the drift
and be willing to make corrections. Or maybe I’m just a stubborn
student. hehe That’s likely, I suppose.
And now I’m working on yearbook stuff. yippee. Better work out this year….
Well I’m probably late in making this discovery (or at least later than
the rest of the world…but just in time for me 
) because I just
downloaded the album a day or so ago, but the new Coldplay album is
AMAZING! I think it’s really their best work yet. Especially the songs
Fix You and ‘Til Kingdom Come. And yes I’m listening right now . . .
Off to another good week, I suppose. Nothing catastrophic excepting the
loss of my voice; although, with the help of regular doses of
Robitussin, that is looking like it will be back to normal in no time.
Class with Somerville today was better than usual….some interesting
thoughts on Hardy. Latin was outside–which, of course, is the best way
to distract me. Needless to say I forgot where we were in the
translation just about every five minutes. And Constitution was
Constitution. Thank goodness our founders knew what they were doing (or
at least for the most part). We’d be sooooo much worse off otherwise.
And that’s it so far. Studying in the library later tonight I suppose.
