I was just reminded of a lovely summer experience…..

We went camping for 4 days in the Mt. Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina and it was a LOT of fun. During the course of those days, at one point we managed to get a “bath” in a stream nearby one of our campsites. It was the coldest water I have ever felt (aside from maybe Christmas swim practices…) but it was very refreshing. A lovely mountain water bath….seriously, it was nice. However, what reminded of this experience was NOT so lovely. Our shower here in the Suites has been on the fritz and every once in a while (actually more often than not) we end up with a cold shower. This is not fun at all. It will start out warm for the first five minutes, so you’re thinking you’ll be ok….but then it strikes: the freezing water that refuses to warm up again…why, I ask, why? I’m not particularly upset…but mildly perturbed. This is my perturbed face. Right now. You can’t see it. Your loss.

Other than this, I am looking forward to a tasty dinner cooked by Gregory this evenig with many guests, a birthday bash at the Bench for Dean and perhaps a jaunt to the Mansion for the annual Black and White party. We shall see….

Well wishes to all for a great Friday! 🙂

hmmm… at least you have a few minutes of warm watter.  When I was at Mark’s place it started out at absolute zero, and then got colder.
