Already back in the swing of things at school and only slightly deterred by the sore throat that has caught up with me. The weather is beautiful (for the moment) and I’m hoping against all hope that it will stay this way for at least the entire week. It’d be good way to start off the home stretch! I think I’ve already moaned enough about how quickly this year has gone by, but I have to continue… it seems like just yesterday that I was jumping up and down in the halls of the Suites, overjoyed to be reunited with my best friends after three “agonizing” months. What am I going to do without them in Italy…? I’m not going to pretend that I’d rather stay in Hillsdale because the opportunity to study art in Cortona is the chance of a lifetime, but I will miss everyone I’ll be leaving in the “states”. But as they say: “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

Yes, I know I keep changing the look of this page, but let it be known that it is just about the only type of change I can endure with complete peace (so far…). In fact, this is also probably why I shift the arrangement of furniture in my room at least once a semester if not more. This sort of change–the kind that has no apparent life-changing consequences–is just the sort that I can enjoy. Plus, I think it’s some sort of creative outlet. Perhaps I should use those creative juices in a more productive manner . . .

Spring Break is almost over and I can hardly believe it came as quickly as it did. In a matter of days I will be back on campus with a mere six weeks left to my sophomore year. Heavens, it’s scary. I haven’t done half as much as I wanted to in the past couple days, but in the end I think I will be satisfied with the break; not to mention the astounding amounts of good food. Praying for travel mercies for all those who need them in the coming days.

So nice to be home in good ol’ Canton, GA.

Spent yesterday shopping, though with slightly mixed results as to the products of my efforts. Old Navy never fails me, but shopping for a formal dress (Kappa Formal, April 8!!) comes with a little more difficulty. I ended up purchasing an $80 sea-foam green little number, but according to the opinions of at least three, it was not worth the buy. Alas…. I think I’ll just end up borrowing. No shame in that!
