Happy Sunday. šŸ™‚

Not much going on today except catching up on homework….and giving a new design to my xanga site. I am the best procrastinator ever.

All better now.

It was a long week, but this weekend was definitely been the culmination of lots of tender, loving care. All I can say is I love my Kappa sisters and Kappa herself. It is a beautiful thing and has brought much good into my life, and I trust will continue to do so. All my love to wearers of the golden key!

Oh man… I just at 550 calories worth of gooey, glazed, doughnuty goodness. I didn’t catch breakfast this morning and so just bought a honey glazed something out of the vending machine in the kitchen and I’m laughing at myself the entire time. It’s 550 calories of nothing but sugar!!! Except of course the 10% vitamin D. Ha. The hilarity. I am soooo healthy!

7 things to do before I die:
– backpack in Europe
– paint a portrait of someone famous
– write a book
– marry the man I love and have a family
– remodel/decorate an entire house
– . . . Westminster Catechism #1
– keep in touch with all my dear friends

7 things I cannot do:
– math/science
– wear a bathing suit without feeling utterly self-conscious
– good things without the help of God
– drive stick shift (yet…)

– fully express in words the feeling of the absolute joy of living that sometimes overwhelms me
– be candid with a complete stranger

7 things that attract me to my other half:
– his smile
– his faith
– his gentle spirit (believe it or not…)
– his appreciation for beautiful things and even if he doesn’t appreciate them and I do, he humours me
– his willingness to listen (and insistence upon it when I’m avoiding talking about something)
– his handsomeness (hands, height, hair color, smell, etc)
– his ability to reassure me that everything will be all right

7 things I say:
– geez
– hey Karen, guess what…?
– schweeet
– bueno taco
– heavens!
– so….
– ta ta for now

Well, kudos to SAGA for a job well done on the mucho delicioso carrot cake that I was amazed to be consuming this evening. I mean, really, who expects a good desert at dinner? Crushed “fruit” pies and awkward looking cakes with experimental icings are the usual fare, but tonight someone was really looking out for me. It even had real cream cheese icing. Wow.

That was a good start to the evening, for sure. Not to mention a short but sweet play practice and now the opportunity to read Swift and Johnson to my heart’s desire…what more could an English major ask? Maybe a hot cup ‘o’ tea…? Request granted cause there’s tea in the kitchen. Sweetness.

These are the times when you realize just how cool it really is to be a college student.
