Not too much going on today. Went into art for about three hours and enjoyed the inversion of thought that is always brought about by an extended period of painting, drawing, etc. It’s like your mind is concentrating so hard on re-creating an object or scene that everything else falls out of focus and then when you have to leave to re-enter the world of other people, you can’t seem to make coherent thoughts or, if you do, they consist of one- or two-word sentences. Strangely enough, this pensive, introverted mode is what feels most natural for me, even though I know that it can easily be foregone for the sake of entertainment. Meaning to say that (obviously) I’m not always such a morose person; though it does resist restraint every once in a while….which makes me….moody? hrmmm. Well, I’ve heard it from certain sources, but I would hate to think of myself as a moody person. They are so high-maintenance. Anyhow, I’ve discovered a lovely *new* band (although they’re not really new except to me):

Lesser Birds of Paradise (!!!)

And there they are. I think the guy on the far left looks like Santa Claus (is that how you spell his last name? it looks weird….) in his younger days. And that’s definitely not a bad thing. These three fellows make some gorgeous tunes and I’m a fan. So there. And I suppose you could check out the webpage if you’re interested. Rightchere

Also, another random fact, on my way into Atlanta today, I counted 6 various sorts of Conferderate flag car decals (either license plates of bumper stickers) and only 4 American flags. Does this tell you something about the South? Perhaps.
