Boo. I’m tired of being broke. 
It is currently the bane of my
existence and considering that I still have no reliable source of
income (another boo) my money situation is beginning to look quite bleak.
It’s really not my fault if I applied to six places and they just never
called back, right? What am I supposed to do, get on my knees and beg?
Although that might work, I’m just not about to flounce into some store
and make that sort of confrontation. Perhaps I should learn to
sacrifice my dignity for the sake of money…..sounds a bit
comprimising if you ask me. But forgive the cynicism and think only of
the poor college student who simply wants to give something nice to her
dad for Father’s Day! Oh well . . . if someone would just pay me to
fold clothes, I’d be rich, cause that’s how I’ve been spending my time
at home.

I know what you mean. I’ve applied to more places than I can remember, and only two have had the courtesy to let me know that they couldn’t hire me. The rest…I don’t know…

Go in and ask about the status of your app. Ask to talk to a manager, call, be persistant! Don’t just fill in the app and walk away, make an impression. Just toe the line between obnoxious and interested.
