Last night was a fun night, for sure. First the Tulloch Ard concert–which was amazing! So many men in kilts! The music was wonderful, the guys (guy….) were great and all in all it was a wonderful time. I might even go out for the Highland Dancers!

Then I spent the rest of the evening at Sigma Chi. That was cool….nothing too crazy. I just kinda stood around doing some “people-watching”. Johnblair was kind enough to keep me occupied. What a sweetheart…. Talked a little with Barrett, Spencer, Carl… all those cool Sigmachi guys. And speaking of Carl….hehe….go Stacy! Then came back to Olds to enjoy the entertaining antics of Karen’s cool friends from church camp–Lauren, Emily and Jackie. Y’all are so much fun! Then Stacy and I ended up sleeping in the lobby. And that was cool. So now I’m up planning a lovely day! 😀

Hmmm…..Thursday. I do like them because SAGA serves rolls at lunch and that usually makes for at least one good meal. I had an English midterm today and that was a party with my pen. It really wasn’t so bad…I’m hoping for at least a B.

Also….last night’s lock-in with Sigma Chi was fun. Fun in that chill way–not wild fun–which is good because chill fun is almost better in a way. I had to get onto Barrett about pelting me with that stupid water balloon……no grudges held though. Got to talk to some nice/cool people. Heard a really good talk at GCF given by the one and only Ryan Spencer. All in all it was a good night….except that I didn’t get any homework done. Which means I should be doing that right now. So off I go! 🙂

Beautiful AGAIN!! YAY! Thank God for
springtime!! It is so gorgeous today and I’ve had the pleasure of
sitting out for a bit just talking with my good friends Kristin and
Christine (future dormmates!!). I don’t particularly want to go to
choir, but I suppose it must be done. Ah well..

Yet another reason to rejoice: I was finally
able to go swinging last night! Stacy joined me after our Kappa meeting
and we had ourselves a long-anticipated, much-delayed RECESS! There
was also some good girl-chat that went on and, Stacks McGee, I’m so
glad that you’re my sistah! Love you much!

I think I’m going to go outside (again ) and do some reading. Happy day to all!

Yay! Another pretty days here in the Hills. It was a good weekend: my
parents came up for the oprea (which, by the way, was amazing–I saw it
nearly 3 times ) and I actually got a little bit of work done (for a
change). I still have sooosoosoo much work/writing to do (over 50 pages
of papers!?!), but on days like today it feels like I can handle
it…mostly. I’m still kinda stressing over my schedule for next
semester. Especially since I realized that I could have registered a
lot earlier (and thus, not have to worry about any classes being full).
But I think it’s all going to work out for the best. Darn that stupid
science requirement. :-\ Alrighty, well I’m off to savour some Ramen
before my voice lesson. ttfn and tata fo now!

Thanks to Kate for this opportunity to take a break in studying..

I’m tired of reading Latin…

For some reason, I really wish that I could cook dinner for someone tonight. I was even looking up recipes on the internet….yes, they did involve Ramen noodles as one of the ingredients, but there’s nothing wrong with that, right? I haven’t really cooked a meal in a while. And then of course there was Easter’s carrot cake. It looked like that big birthday cake in Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, where the icing is all drippy and it looks like it might topple over at any moment. But my cake still tasted good. I have no idea about the Mad Hatter’s cake.

Also, today has been loverly because I didn’t have Latin class. Dr. Hogan is out of town giving a paper somewhere, so we got the day off! It’s always nice not to have to prepare 80 lines of Latin–especially when it’s Suetonius, because, let me tell ya, that guy is difficult to read!

And I got some research done for my paper on social security reform. Perhaps now I will do some laundry. I’m working the opera again tonight….everyone should come and see it! It’s funny! So that’s it for now. Hope everyone has a good Friday. My parents are coming tomorrow! Yay!
