Another icy morning in the Dale . . . nothing to complaing of though, because today is Thursday and that means ROLLS for lunch . It also means that tomorrow is Friday and the beginning of the weekend. Class are actually going really well. So far I’ve been able to keep up with all the [extensive] reading and that is a wonderful feeling. Drawing was good yesterday and photography has been very interesting so far. Today we learn how to develop film. Tuesday was my first Ballet class, but we didn’t do anything except go over the syllabus because no one has their “supplies” yet. It will be quite interesting once we start, considering I haven’t danced in nearly 8 years (maybe more).

What a beautiful day! Positively springlike. The temperature is mild, the sun is out, the snow has melted and there is actually green grass showing! Loverly, if I do say so myself. I was woken early this morning not by my alarm clock but by the happy tidings of a phone call. Still had to walk all the way to SAGA for my morning coffee, but hopefully soon I will get to make that trip to Walmart for the much needed supplies. The rest of today should prove to be quite entertaining. Aside from Art History at 11:00, I have the rest of the afternoon free. Tonight Karen, Vanessa and I will be gracing the dinky Hilldsale movie theater with our presence so as to see Tristan and  Isolde (yes!) and perhaps a jaunt over to the Bench for a welcome-back-to-campus party. So Happy Friday to all!

Hoorah for KAPPA! We picked up 16 beautiful and amazing new girls last night and what a joy it is to have them in the house as our new “babies”. Seeing some of the freshman girls I know going through the same welcoming that I went through this time last year was a wonderful thing. It made all the memories of my Rush experience “rush” back (haha no pun intended) and made me remember the many reasons that I love Kappa so much. Tis a beautiful thing… 🙂

So I’m back in Hillsdale, trying to sort out the mess that is currently my new room in Whitely and getting excited for the next couple of days of recruitment. Last night, after a refresher course in recruitment policy, dinner from Oakley! and some creative companionship, we went roller skating! Haven’t done that since I was about 13 and it was a lot of fun . . . definitely a must when it comes to activities in Hillsdale. Today looks to be quite exciting what with meeting lots of freshman girls and still trying to get everything into its proper place in my room. Stop by if you need anything cause I’m given a ton away!
