I love shopping resale. Actually, I love shopping in general, but there are a few reasons that shopping in resale stores can be particularly rewarding. I am of the breed who enjoys the “thrill of the hunt” when it comes to shopping: TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, and thrift stores are some of my favorites to peruse, when I have the time. Because, mostly, it is about time. Sorting through racks of mostly disorganized clothing takes patience and persistence. But, if you persevere, real gems can be found!
There is a particular kind of satisfaction that accompanies the purchase of an item marked down 50-80+% from its original cost. Whether it’s a brand new item from a store like TJ Maxx, or a gently used item found in a thrift/resale/consignment store, knowing that you’re getting your money’s worth is so rewarding! Especially if it’s a piece that you’ve been particularly searching for. It sure is fun to walk into a store and, in a few minutes time, find a piece that works for you at a reasonable price.
