Alabama Court of Civil Appeals Judge Glenn Murdock testified on
Jordan’s behalf, describing him as a man of rigid character who
respects authority and doesn’t bend the rules.
“I don’t think God’s made a straighter arrow than Bert Jordan,” Murdock said.
Yep, that’s my uncle.
Thank God for a lenient sentence (even if the jury’s findings were completely wrong): 6 months probation and $500 fine. Now we can only pray that the appeal will find him innocent.

When asked by a reporter if Bert had any advice to give others after living through such an ordeal, Bert answered “Read/know your Shakespeare.”
Perhaps somewhat obtuse, but instructive nonetheless.
