Happy Easter!
Well I just returned from lovely Elkhart, Indiana and it was a beautiful, relaxing and fun weekend. Friday night was spent out with Patrick, Chelsea, Sean (for a little bit) and a bunch of Patrick’s friends–Brad, John, Nathan, Stacy, etc.–having an all around good time. Supposedly there was some drama going on between a couple of the girls who were there, but that’s the nice thing about being the “outsider”: I didn’t know them and, frankly, I didn’t care if they had problems because I was enjoying the atmosphere quite oblivious to any problems.
Saturday was pretty lazy: went shopping for a little while with Stacy and Chels and managed to get a sun-burn while out walking the dogs. Both good and bad, because it gives me color but is also slightly painful! Saturday night we didn’t do too much but stay in and color Easter eggs, watch movies and “chaperone” for Sean and his friends.
Sunday we went to church (an interesting –contemporary– service to be sure . . . we all agreed it was a bit out of hand and regretted not getting up at 8am to get to the earlier traditional service); got our Easter baskets (woohoo!); had a lunch of corned beef and cabbage; watched tv and were generally lazy . . . until Chelsea was kind enough to take me back. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave for another week or so, but in general I’m glad I got to take a weekend off (out of Hillsdale, that is) and enjoy some “family” time.
Hope everyone had an equally relaxing weekend!
