Been a fairly good day. Nothing extreme to complain about. I was
rather frustrated in choir, though because I knew that I wouldn’t be
able to sing (because of all the crap lodged in my throat/lungs) but I
went anyway. And tried to sing….which was stupid. So I was just
teensy bit upset—because I wanted to sing but couldn’t. But that is
just a petty matter of little to no importance….easily overcome.
I also went to the formal sorority dinner, which was fun. I never
thought of myself as a sorority girl, but I’m really thinking that it
will a good experience for me. Rush will be
exciting/fun/nerve-wracking….to say the least. All right. Better
get some homework done!

God is great, God is good.

Often wallowing in my own self-pity, I forget all of the wondrous and
amazing things that God has blessed me with: family, friends, nature,
art, music, beauty, LIFE! What blessings we have on this earth and how
much greater they become as we come to know and love their Creator! I’m
feeling especially grateful this evening for all that God has given
me–most especially for grace: in all  things,  in life, now
and in times to come, in Jesus especially! It’s almost paradoxical to
say, but thank God for Jesus. Anyway, this is my mood tonight–much
relieved from the pressures of certain things that have been bugging me
lately. I was allowing myself to get weighed down with a lot of stupid
issues and now it seems like God has simply lifted those worries off of
my mind. I am grateful and at peace.

Ehhh….too sick to sing in choir today. Couldn’t sing over the weekend
either, at the retreat. That was a bummer. Lost my voice Friday,
actually, and it is only now beginning to revive itself. Oh well, gives
me another hour and a half to get stuff done. But I can’t even begin to
think about what most urgently needs to be done–which probably means
that nothing will be done at all because I will spend the next hour
deliberating what I need to do and then by the time 5:00 rolls around
I’ll just decide not to do anything at all because it will be almost
dinnertime……haha I truly live the life of procrastination. Ah
well….it’s a lovely day outside if not a bit cold. Must be freezing
my brain, because not only do I have a headache but I also cannot think
of a single thing interesting to say. This is what happens when
southerners are taken out of their natural environment!!
