Ah yes….the beginning of another week at good ol’ Hillsdale. It is indeed good to be back. Especially with the knowledge that in little less than three weeks time I will be back home again I enjoyed the Thanksgiving break but the saying it true. Absence does make the heart grow fonder! I missed the rest of the quad and all the Galloway boys so much and it was good to get back and see everybody again last night. This week shouldn’t be too bad but next week is going to be difficult what with exams coming and all that studying to be done. Oh well.

I walked outside after lunch and saw that it has started snowing.

Ann Arbor was a blast! As much as I love the ‘dale, it was good to get
away if only for one night. We didn’t do anything crazy–just walked
around, talked, and generally had ourselves a fun time. There were
drawbacks, yes, we were not fully complete without certain members of
our crew but I know that we will get the chance to do it again in the
future. And that will rawk….hard. Anyway, I’m going home tomorrow
(actually it’s today already) and I can’t wait. It will be so good to
see my parents and grandparents and sisters. Not to mention get an
awesome homecooked Thanksgiving dinner while I’m there!
And I’m definitely looking forward to the break. I need to
get away just for a little while. I love my Quad girls and the Galloway
boys sososo very much, but right now I really feel like I need to get
away just to clear my head. The college life is such a dramatic
lifestyle change for me…..it’s been a mental and physical strain
almost. Ha. As if that doesn’t sound melodramatic. But it really has
been a huge shift for me….getting used to being around the same
people all the time and getting to know them inside and out a lot
sooner than I would have in high school. Not to mention the almost
exorbitant amounts of free time–no weekend job makes for a lot more
hours in the day. I’m not complaining though…. So being home will
help set me straight for a while, I think–help me to get things in
perspective. And maybe when I come back I will know exactly how to act
like a college student who knows where she’s headed in life and doesn’t
have to worry about the silly things that have been getting me down
lately. Sounds good, right? Yeah, I’ve got high hopes for the break.
But really all I ask for is a big hug from every member of my family
and a few extra hours of sleep. I am grateful, God, for what I have!

Yay! Had a GOOOOD time in Monroe yesterday. Grease was
amazing/hilarious. I love the trampoline. Oh yeah. So much good
food–ahhh. Goodtimes indeed. This post is rather erratic. It was fun,
but I’m glad to be back. The Quad realized how dependent we are on our
boys (the Dirty Dozen). And the excitement is far from over….
Oh yes and I now have a little comment box where you can tell me all of
your excitement without having to get a Xanga username. True joy.
Alright. We’re off to Walmart. ttfn and ta ta for now.

This is a rough estimation of how I’m feeling today……in the lyrics of Keane.

The Way You Want It

From the shelter of your home

As you walk into the rain

Send a message that you know she’ll hear

Though she’s far away

Even though you have been wrong before
She’ll hear you now
You know she will
But you don’t know how

From the shelter of the rain
As you walk into the Tube
As you think of her you wonder if
She thinks about you too
Even though you’ve waited so long
To see the day
When she will turn
To you again
‘So long my friend’
Is what you’ll say

And I don’t know
Why you feel so bad
Where is the life you once had?
And still this horrid feeling grows and grows
The way you want it to

You’re a fool though
Why you feel so bad
Where is the life you once had?
And stilll this hollow feeling grows and grows
The way you want it to

Snow White last night. Fun times. But seriously, I cannot wait until
this weekend! It is going to be so much fun! The quad is heading over
to Monroe on Saturday to see Grease (a production put on by Monroe
High, Karen’s old school) and let me tell ya it’s gonna be a blast.
Then Monday night we’re heading over to AnnArbor for more funtimes. We
meaning the quad and the seven dwarves. haha. Yes. Exciting. I know.
