Yay! I have a second commission to work on!! Another friend’s children
and they are absolutely adorable. I’m excited to start on it. Also
started a new painting in class that I’m enjoying working on (so far).
So life on the artistic front is good.

In other news….went out to Mexican tonight with the fam and I must
admit you can’t beat the Mexican restaurants here in good ol’ Canton
Georgia. Yes, Vanessa, I know we had our fair share of Mexicano
goodness up in the ‘dale, but it’s just not the same. And that’s about
it. You know, with the amount of time I’ve been at home lately you’d
think I could clean my room…but it’s a mess. Oh well. I’m out. Later
kids.

hmmmm…think there’s any truth in this?

It is late. I am stoked on caffeine and I may not get to sleep for
another hour or so. However, I am not troubled for ( o joy of joys) it is
summer and now is the time to seize every chance to stay up late for no
reason at all.

I just put up some pictures of our family. I think we are a cute little
bunch. God bless my dad for putting up with so many women.

Started….and finished….a painting today. Just another exercise…still nothing exciting. I’ve got to find something to work from first….

Anywho, this is an excerpt from today’s reading from Spurgeon’s Morning & Evening that I particularly enjoyed:

    Monday. No Big Plans. Although I did have a swell
dream last night about being back at school and everything was turning
out JUST as I wanted it to. If only…..but I guess we’ll see. Job is
still shaping up–hoping to hear from ANYONE this week (considering
that my background check didn’t turn up any crazy convictions/illegal
activities) and with 8 weeks left perhaps I’ll have just enough time to
earn the loads of money that I will need to survive this next semester.
eep. But at least it’s a beautiful day and I have nothing to do but
enjoy it (and perhaps do a little cleaning ).

La-dee-da. Saturday again. I got up at 8 this morning and fixed French
Toast for my Dad to celebrate Father’s Day early since he will be
working tomorrow. In addition to what I hope was a good breakfast
(unhealthy though it may have been ), I also gave him a book called
“1776” which I assume has something to do with the founding of our
country. AND, I also want to say:

 
I love you Daddy! Thank you so much for all that you do!!

And I’ve spent the afternoon putting the finishing touches on the
portraits for my neighbor which will be gifts to her husband for
