My family is funny. ![]()
“They’re eating the cat!!!” (in reference to moths…)
T- 10…9…8….days….
Still have plenty left to do. Today might be my last day of work….or
it might be next Wednesday. Not sure yet if they’re going to screw me
out of the extra money by not letting me work on the next payroll. That
would be a bummer. But I find out today. ![]()
Then there’s the packing. I got my shiny *new* winter coat in the mail
yesterday…it’s green…with a hood. Spiffilicious. I have so many
boxes jumbled full of stuff that I absolutely know that I will
need/want (or they will be given to others) but I’m not sure I even
have space enough at school to keep all of it. What to do? Not to
mention, where am I going to pack the Pride & Prejudice board
game???
BAM!
I am so excited to get back to school . . . packing has most certainly
commenced. Not only this but having almost daily conversations with my
coolest friends from school has given me even more to look forward to.
So, if I know you well and/or we spent some goodtimes together last
year (as in rooming or otherwise) expect to be tackled!!!
In other current events, I had a denstist appointment this morning at
the early hour of 7:45 (which means I had to get up with the sun at
6AM) and I have NO CAVITIES!
But, my wisdom teeth are coming
dangerously close to ruining the “orthodontics” so it is a possibility
that I may have to have them out. But not until next summer. *relief*
AND . . . I went on a shopping spree the other day to the tune of a mere $75 and I still
have stuff I need/want…so if you would like to submit a donation to
the charitable fund known as Margaret’s [Birthday] Piggy Bank, you are
quite welcome. ![]()
I am fully convinced that the source of all human evil is centered
around selfishness. People are so self-absorbed and in so many
instances act only for their own advantage, sometimes without even
realizing it. And yet, the one perfact man who walked this earth lived
through his entire life, death and resurrection ultimately for the sake
of poor stupid undeserving sinners–without ever thinking of himself.
And we still have the gall to live our lives for ourselves . . . .
Well. That was brought upon by a few self-centered people at work
today, but in all honesty I am as much to blame as they are. So I can’t
rant anymore because I’d be a big fat hypocrite. *end rant*
In other news . . . I’m getting my hair cut!! woot. Now, for some
people, this may not be a very exciting event. But for me it is a
once-a-year thing and I really do enjoy it. And I have a dentist
appointment tomorrow. boo.
Current Events:
-Eating a PB&J sandwhich (yummmmy)
-Drinking water through a straw (quirky yes, but I think it makes it taste better
)
-Checking e-mail….just found out that I’m rooming right next-door to
one of the coolest girls of all time (who also happens to be my
“ex-roommate”
)
-Wishing my bank would post withdrawals sooner online so I could know how much money I really have
-Hoping that I’ll have enough of foresaid money to pay off all my bills….eeep
-Trying to decide what movie to watch tonight after work….Wedding
Crashers or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Or perhaps War of the
Worlds? I’m leaning toward Wedding Crashers
-Thinking that I really should start reviewing for Latin….back to good ol’ Wheelock….
-Sincerely hoping it’s not too busy at work today…even though I’m working box and that’s the easiest job there is
-Listening to Ringside–a coolio new band– check ’em out www.ringsideband.com
-Earnestly wishing I could actually be telling this to somebody instead of just typing it out
…..I’m really ecstatic about my rooming assignment—living in the Suites is going to be schweeeet…..
blah. On a caffeine buzz that is not likely to go away any time soon. Had a great dinner with a good friend and then coffee (always a bad idea for me to drink coffee in the evening time, and yet I still do it…) We had some nice conversations and I am going to miss her when I go to Michigan…among many other things, as I am beginning to realize. I have come to the conclusion that I really am glad that I go to school so far away, or else I wouldn’t truly be able to appreciate the differences between my home life and school life. Not that I would appreciate my family or friends less if I went to school closer, but somehow it is different. We also discussed our need/desire to be swept off our feet by the perfect men this semester.
It’s gonna happen…hopefully. And perhaps that is all for this evening.
How many days, you ask? 11!!!!
