I hate it when people just disappear.

Although I guess I can’t really say that without shooting myself in the
foot because I am a culprit of this horrid trend as well. Sure we can
always blame it on different schedules or simply overwhelming
business….nonetheless, if you really care, you’ll make the time. I
can think of a few people I’ve “abandoned” in just the past year
without even meaning to…simply because I didn’t take the time to
call, say hi or even wave from across a crowded courtyard. How foolish.
And then again, I could just blame it on my “non-confrontational”
personality. Ha. No excuse is good enough. This is not to say that
these people are really missing out by not experiencing my presence (I
would not want to overrate the value of my attention), but I guess it’s
more me who is missing out on a relationship that could broaden my
living experience. Or is that just a bunch of emotional,
phsychoanalytical hogwash?

I suppose I’ve just guilted myself into trying to be less self-centered in the future.

In other news: Work was busy but funny. It rained tonight. Got
ice-cream with my mom and youngest sister (definitely not on the
diet…haha) Exactly two weeks till the I have to start expecting the
unexpected. Until then….I love to settle for the familiar.

Wow, I really know what you mean. For some reason, I beat myself up a lot over that… actually, the latest was last week.

There is a post in my livejournal memories in which I did that and there is a comment that sometimes helps me. It was something to the effect that just like distance is no object between friends, neither is time.
