Alas . . . the truth is out: I am a hopeless romantic. And this after 6 hours of Pride & Prejudice. Now I’m afraid I will not settle for any man less than Mr. Darcy. Honestly, though, I really enjoyed watching the movies and it looks like I’ll have the book to entertain me for at least a week or two. And just wait to see what sort of romantic ideals come into my head then.

But now . . . to bed.

Hey.  You don’t know me, but I found my way here via i_n_f_j, via Phoenix_Ash, and I am a huge Jane Austen fan.  I wrote my Senior Thesis on Austen.  And I had always thought that Mr Darcy was the ultimate, until I read Austen’s Emma.  The hero in that story, Mr Knightley, is probably the most Godly husband/man ever written in literature.  Darcy is still great and I like him a lot (especially since he and I have the same flaws (that whole pride thing)), but I would marry Knightley were I a girl and a fictional character.  Being male and real, I just aspire to be as compassionate of a Godly man as Mr Knightley is.  And I highly recommend you read Emma or watch its movie version with Gwyneth Paltrow.
