parable of the seeds

By a window left open
and breeze with the curtains dancing
she stands— one lost to thought,
and left to linger with ivy-stranded pillars–
till daylight fades to ‘nought
and shadows start to swagger.
Once I saw, and she,

the selfsame shadow menagerie
of visions from a dream– or else
the fading light of swarthy dusk.
But I stayed not the last to see
and stumbled back to life before her.
Dawn, then, and the Light—
of life and living things,
apart from endless shadow plains,
does not hide her face
but leaves her now as then
in endless reverie.

Matthew 10:27
“What I tell you in the darkness, speak in
the light; and what you
hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops.
