I am one of the ten sad pages of people from Hillsdale who have decided
to list their relationship status on Facebook as “single”. Does that go
to say that I’m content with my status and have no problem listing it
as so or am I simply too apathetic to notice that there must be some
people who have decided to keep that information to themselves
and I’m just desperate enough to make it public knowledge?? *sigh*

correction…there are actually 40 pages of singles(facebook only lets you see 10 at once), representing 398 students, which is roughly one third of the entire school.
and in regard to what meaning lies in the fact that you are listed on one of those 40 pages…i would say it merely proves that you are brave enough to be honest about the fact that you have all your options open to you (not to mention that stupid facebook makes you pick one of the four options in that box).
so…no need to sigh…life is good and being single does not mean that you are alone, there are 397 other hillsdale students in the same boat(including myself).
that’s a great cd by the way, one of my fave guy friends introduced it to me.

don’t think that you are single so much as that you are currently available/seeking a relationship/open to invitation/etc…it’s much more positive.

keep in mind the students that haven’t even bothered with facebook y et… they are more likely to be more intorverted, and thus more likely to be single… so there is really no real evidence that you are even in the minority. =-P
