We’ve been collecting wine corks for some time and I wanted to do something fun with them. I’ve seen several projects with wine corks on Pinterest lately and thought this would be a perfect excuse to make something.
DIY Wine Cork Letter
Total time: 45 minutes – 1 hour
Wooden letter or symbol (I bought mine at Wal-Mart)
Wine corks – if you don’t drink wine, ask your friends for their old corks or local restaurants
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Once I gathered my materials, I picked out some of my favorite corks and started gluing.
I cut several corks with my knife to make them fit the letter. I liked the way the corks weren’t unified and displayed the uniqueness of each one.
Since we prefer red over white, I displayed mostly the red corks. I love the way it was all coming together!
I continued to cut and glue the corks, showcasing some of our favorite wines or corks that were interesting to me.
I really liked how it turned out. What do you think?
This would make a great and inexpensive gift for friends or family, too!
I placed the finished letter in our china cabinet among our wine glasses. I think it adds a nice and personal touch.
I hope this inspires you to do something creative today!
